As we reflect on another year and give thanks in this season of gratitude, we’re reminded that longevity in manufacturing isn’t accidental. It’s earned. It’s built on grit, precision and people who take pride in doing things the right way. And at Maysteel, we have been living that truth since 1936, when a sheet metal salesman from Wisconsin saw a need for a high standard of quality in metal fabrication.

What started as a small operation grounded in craftsmanship and ingenuity has grown into a North American manufacturing leader trusted by some of the world’s most advanced industries. Nearly nine decades later, those same founding principles guide everything we do: build with purpose, deliver with precision and never stop improving.

A Legacy of Strength and Staying Power

Since that first shop opened its doors in Wisconsin, Maysteel has expanded to six North American facilities supporting industries that keep the world running: data centers, critical power, utilities, renewable energy, EV charging and telecom.

Through generations of change, economic cycles and evolving technologies, one thing has remained constant: our ability to adapt to change without losing sight of what makes us Team Maysteel.

Kevin Matkin, our CEO, often says “Winning breeds winning.”

This mindset runs deep in the Maysteel team culture. Every program we complete makes us sharper. Every challenge makes us stronger. And every win for our customers is a win for our team. That’s how Maysteel has stayed built to perform for nearly 90 years.

Thankful for the People Behind Our Performance

Behind every enclosure, weld and shipment deadline are the people who make Maysteel what it is. Our engineers, fabricators, welders and project managers bring together decades of skill and pride across our locations.

They are the reason we can be agile without cutting corners, solve problems before they happen and build custom solutions that perform in the toughest environments. We’re thankful for their dedication; it’s the rare kind that turns sheet metal fabricators into a partner customers depend on.

Thankful for the Customers and Partners Who Trust Us to Build What’s Next

We wouldn’t be here without the customers and partners who’ve grown with us. Whether you’ve worked with us for decades or just partnered with Maysteel, your trust drives our innovation.

Each project we take on, from high-density data center aisle containment to outdoor utility enclosures, pushes us to think smarter, engineer better and deliver stronger results. We’re proud to be part of your progress and grateful for the opportunity to help shape the infrastructure that powers today’s connected world.

Looking Ahead: From 1936 to 2026 and Beyond

As we approach our 90th anniversary in 2026, we’re reflecting on how far we’ve come and are excited about what the future holds. We’re investing in the future by expanding our Data Center Manufacturing Hub in Germantown, WI, advancing automation and fiber-laser welding capabilities and growing our engineering teams to meet the pace of modern infrastructure.

Our foundation is strong, but we’re not standing still. The next chapter of Maysteel is about continuing to do what’s made us who we are, delivering engineered solutions that protect, perform and push boundaries.

Built to Perform. Built to Outlast. Built for What’s Next.

This Thanksgiving, we’re thankful for our history, our people, our customers and the purpose that’s carried us for nearly nine decades. From humble beginnings in Wisconsin manufacturing in 1936 to a leader serving customers across North America, our story is one of strength, craftsmanship and the belief that winning breeds winning.

Here’s to the next 90 years of building together.
