Alternative Joining Techniques Avoid Costly Rivet Fixturing

A heavily riveted chassis assembly frequently was found to have missing rivets. One possible solution involved $200,000 in custom rivet fixturing. Maysteel offered a redesign that allowed the elimination of most rivets in favor of alternative joining techniques, a solution that was only one tenth the cost.
