11-Part Assembly Simplified to Just 2 Parts Through Maysteel Redesign

An original design for a hard drive bay that involved 11 parts and 13 separate spot welding steps proved costly and cumbersome to manufacture. To solve this problem, Maysteel engineers developed a greatly simplified two-part assembly having strategically placed integral flanges, tabs and other contact points that enabled projection welding in a single step.
