Trinetics® Oil-Type Switches
Remain A Mainstay
For Many Cost-Conscious Electric Utilities
January 9, 2002
Trinetics® oil-type capacitor switches have long been a mainstay
for utilities concerned with both dependable performance and
cost-efficiency. Time-proven and industry tested, Trinetics switches
are adaptable for either pole- or pad-mounted capacitor stations.
Insulation is provided by high-quality mineral oil, with no PCB elements.
Trinetics oil-type switches are built for maximum performance and
feature a higher continuous current rating than most similar 20 kV
switches, providing faster, more efficient delivery of power.
Maysteel ProCap microprocessor controls allow for either
automatic or manual control.
Additional standard features include porcelain bushings in 11", 17",
or 24" creep distances; steel tank with corrosion-resistant
polyurethane surface; sturdy five-pin mounting receptacle with NEMA
hanger; and unique power and linkage arrangement.
Trinetics oil-type capacitor switches are manufactured by the
Electric Utility & Enclosures Division of Maysteel, which makes a
wide range of products for the electric utility industry, including
Trinetics vacuum-type switches, ProCap capacitor controls,
SmartBank pole- and pad-mounted capacitor stations, and
high-performance electrical enclosures.
